EMS Chess Team competes at Oaklawn Academy

On Thursday, May 5th, the Edgerton Middle School Chess Team spent the afternoon at Oaklawn Academy enjoying lunch and several hours of chess competition.    The students from both schools had previously been in chess tournaments or clubs and had earned the honor to compete in this tournament.   After many matches and the exchange of many strategies, the EMS Chess Team retained the "traveling trophy" and great sportsmanship was shown by all.   This continues to be a chess tradition that both teams see as a highlight of their chess matches.   We look forward to next year!
