A New Math App.

Lots of students are reviewing and refining their math skills using a new app. called TenMarks.  Students engage in Jam Sessions to reinforce skills that have mastered and are assigned new activities to challenge new math concepts.  You can never get too much math practice!  Excellent math work to all of my TAG Time Math kiddos!   :)

Middle School Leadership Day

Edgerton Students Attend Middle School Leadership Day

Four 6th grade students attended Middle School Leadership Day at UW-Whitewater on Thursday, Oct. 20th.   These students were entertained by an animated illusionist who sent a positive message about what it means to be a good leader in our society today.  Activities revolved around refining and reviewing effective leadership skills.  These students also received a “bonus” tour of the UW-Whitewater IT Department by Steve Doll, Julia Doll’s father,   The students learned about the depth of technology that is used at the University level to keep all devices running and all users safe from fraud.

Support Our New STEM Center!

Now that the STEM Center is filled with children and learning is happening, we would like to continue making sure that our students have quality hands-on learning kits and materials.   I would like to connect to the field of Science and purchase a collection of engaging microscopes that will capture the attention of our young scientists!

Elementary STEM Center: Now Open for Business!

If you build it, they will come!!  The Elementary STEM Center has been built and today third grade classes came!  The learning has started and students are excited to call the STEM Center another place to learn about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math!   Over the next two weeks, classes from Community and Yahara will be engaged in a Getting to Know the STEM Center activity that will introduce students to all the expectations, materials, and learning kits the Center has to offer!  Students will get a chance to see what they have to look forward to in future visits to the STEM Center!  It has been built, and they are coming!  So exciting!
